Laser Treatment of Cold Sores

Cold sores (or herpetic lesions) are blisters that form around the mouth and lips and are both painful and infectious.  If left untreated the typical heal time is 2 to 3 full weeks. However when treated with our dental laser we can dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes to heal and in some cases prevent them from coming back!

The benefits of using the laser include:

• The progression is halted and healing starts immediately.
• Fewer reoccurrences of future outbreaks in the same area.
• Reduces amount of infectious tissue on the treated site.
